The client
Sotheis is a platform for finding local artisans and booking them: people choose a city and a trade, browse the profiles and book an appointment. For artisans it is also a subscription management tool, with a calendar, a profile and an assistant. The project belongs to Giorgia Salvato and starts in Perugia, Terni and Florence.
Building a two-sided platform, customers and artisans, from scratch: first a launch page on the domain, then a working demo that could both present the project and serve as the foundation of the final version, with real bookings and a calendar that never assigns the same slot twice.
The launch page is live on sotheis.com with the provisional brand identity. The platform runs on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 database: search by city and trade, artisan profiles, booking with slot selection and a confirmation that can be added to the calendar, and an artisan panel with calendar, profile, subscription and assistant.
Pages are rendered on the server and work without required JavaScript. Integrations with Google Calendar, payments and electronic invoicing are planned for the next phases of the project.
