01 brief
Growing Art makes handcrafted terrariums in Florence. They wanted to give customers an app to care for their terrarium and explore the collection: not just an object in glass, but a small ecosystem with a digital companion.
02 challenge
Make caring for a living ecosystem simple — light, pruning, maintenance — for people who aren't experts. Let people discover the collection and the shop, and deliver an app as crafted as the terrariums themselves, on iOS and Android.
03 solution
Native app (React + Capacitor + Supabase): the collection of handcrafted terrariums with botanical photography, care guides for every plant, a light meter (lux) to tell whether the spot is right, plus news and shop. Dark theme, green accent, living material front and center.
Digital that extends the physical object: anyone who buys a terrarium isn't left alone — they have the guides, the right light and the collection in their pocket.
The app is published on the App Store and Google Play, with backend, authentication and content owned by the client: they publish news and it shows up in the app, without going through us.
